Camino Portuguese Coastal : Porto to Santiago de Compostela
The Camino Portuguese is perhaps most associated with the life and ministry of St James. Both the Central and the Coastal Camino routes merge at Redondela and continue on through Padron and Iria Flavia. History tells us that it was Iria Flavia where James the Apostle lived and preached the gospels.
Most pilgrims start their Portuguese Camino in Porto and whilst there are two routes to Santiago from Porto, the following posts focus on the stunning Portuguese Coastal Camino. I’ve walked this route 5 times and I know I’ll walk again.
