Camino Portuguese Central : from Porto to Santiago de Compostela

The Camino Portuguese is most associated with the life and ministry of St James and whilst the route starts in Lisbon, most pilgrims start their journey in Porto.

You can choose to walk one of three routes; the Central, the Coastal and the Senda Litoral. This guide covers the Central Route, although all routes merge at Redondela and continue on through Padron and Iria Flavia.

I’ve been walking the Portuguese Camino since 2017 and walked all routes many times and I know for sure that I’ll walk again. My guides are written to help those starting to plan, covering terrain, accommodation, history and suggestions.
