Camino Ingles : English Way to Santiago de Compostela

The Camino Ingles, sometimes called The English Way or Forgotten Camino is the shortest complete Camino, ending at the steps of the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

You can start the Camino Ingles in A Coruna and Ferrol. Historically, A Coruna was more popular but today pilgrims choose Ferrol. Ferrol is more than than the required 100 kilometres distance from Santiago de Compostela and qualifies for a Compostela.

I read conflicting reports about this route but having walked from Ferrol, I’m now a keen advocate. This is a beautiful little Camino and I look forward to my next visit.

Top Tip : You can start in A Coruna if you complete 25 kilometres of certified pilgrimage in your home country.
