Visit Spain : Camino de Santiago, History, Mountains, Beaches and Gastronomy!

For 30 years I thought I knew Spain well until I walked the Camino de Santiago. Then I discovered a hidden Spain and fell in love all over again.

Spain is the second most visited country in the world for good reason. She welcomes a record-breaking 75 million tourists a year and I’ve visited Spain most years since that first visit in the 1980s. Spain is amazing!

Why We Love Spain

My first trip to Spain was in the 1980s. And then we honeymooned in Seville and after we had lots of short breaks in Barcelona, Malaga and Madrid. Next, we discovered Northern Spain and San Sebastian, Bilbao and Santander became our new favourites. We started spending our winters in Spain. Driving down choosing a new route each time just to discover new treasures.

In 2013 I discovered the Camino de Santiago which captured my imagination and wanderlust spirit. I walked across Spain, uncovering more hidden treasures along the way.
