Affiliate Marketing

Most of our posts contain affiliate links.  In practice this means if you click on an affiliate link it comes with a cookie.  If you make a purchase, that cookie (some only last a day) means that I earn a small commission.

IMPORTANT : My affiliate commission in no way adds cost to you or impacts on your purchase or contract with the company selling the product.  The price for you is the same regardless of any affiliate income I make.

Although I use affiliate links on my website you are under no obligation to purchase or use any of these products. Every post on my site includes an affiliate disclaimer.

Companies We Work With?

Skyscanner : a good resource for finding fights. Clicking on any of those links and purchasing a flight/hotel will result in a small commission for us.

Travelpayouts : Wayaway, GoCity, Get Your Guide, Rental Cars, Economy Bookings,, Agoda, Klook, Hostelworld, VRBO, Trainline, 12GoAsia, Discover Cars, TripAdvisor, Busbud and Airalo. We will receive a comission from any of the sites that we link to. Our affiliations with all of the these website are managed through Travel Payouts.

TrueTraveller, Globelink : We believe that everyone should travel with travel insurance. We use both of these companies personally and we are happy to recommend them.  I gain a small commission, through affiliate links.  We do not represent these companies, we are simply a happy customer.   This is information only and not a recommendation to buy travel insurance.

SafetyWing : Many of my travel colleagues use and recommend Safety Wing.  This policy may be more suitable for some of our readers, hence we include it on our recommendations and we earn a small affiliate commission if you buy.

Viator, GuruWalks, Tourradar : We use Viator and GuruWalks a lot when travelling and I recommend their tours.  If you book a tour by clicking on our links I gain a small commission at no cost to you.  IF searching for multi-day tours TourRadar is my go-to site too.

Expedia : Gerry has been a fan of Expedia for years and where possible we include recommendations for their hotels.

Awin : Osprey, Craghoppers, GAdventures : I have been using Osprey packs since I started hiking and wearing Craghoppers for the same duration.  I 100% recommend their products because they are my preferred choice.  If you buy from my site the affiliate earns a small commission.

Direct Ferries : This is a useful website when travelling and we include links to help with planning transport.  We include affiliate links on our site.
